Say Goodbye at Home
Veterinary Euthanasia Services
Peaceful Shores Veterinary Hospice was created to help individual people and families honor and say goodbye to their furry family members with the utmost compassion, kindness, and respect.
Consciously saying goodbye when it’s time is one of the hardest decisions you will make in your pet’s life. Providing an environment in which your pet can experience the transition in a smooth, peaceful, and loving manner — and in their own home — can and will make a big difference for both you and your beloved pet.
Dr. Kennedy Is Here to Help
Dr. Kennedy is passionately committed to bringing as much ease as she can to this difficult time. Her goal is to make the process as gentle as possible for everyone involved.
She treats and transitions each pet with as much tender care as if she were treating her own beloved pet.
Is It Time to Say Goodbye?
Please reach out to Dr. Kennedy if you think it’s time … or even if you’re simply not sure. She can help you figure out if hospice care or a euthanasia visit is the right course of action.
Dr. Kennedy is committed to ensuring your pet’s comfort and quality of life are where they need to be
It can be helpful for you to fill out the Quality of Life (QoL) survey which will be a resource to objectively determine if it’s time to schedule a euthanasia visit or if hospice care is what’s needed.
We highly recommend Dr. Kennedy and Peaceful Shores. She is very kind and compassionate. It was time for Lucy as she was almost 19 years old with end stage renal failure. It is never an easy choice but the process was very peaceful to have at-home euthanasia.
Peaceful Shores Services
In-Home Veterinary Hospice
The initial hospice consult visit is all about determining the comfort and well being of your beloved pet. Dr. Kennedy will do a physical exam and address any immediate issues; then she will sit with the family, as a team, to discuss how things are going.
In-Home Veterinary Euthanasia
This is one of the hardest decisions you will make in your pet’s life. Allowing your pet to experience the transition smoothly and peacefully in their own home can make a big difference — and not just for the pet.
